Day 8 - An Idol performance from a runner-up you love

David Archuleta - Imagine

Incredible! He tackled my favourite Lennon song and hit a home run. One of the best Idol moments.

Honourable mentions: Jessica Sanchez - And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going, Lauren Alaina - Candle In The Wind, Adam Lambert - The Tracks of My Tears

If they ever hosted an all-star edition of American Idol and had the runner-ups face off against each other, they’d be my Top 2.

Day 5 - A song from an Idol contestant’s album that you wish was released as a single

David Archuleta - Zero Gravity

Forever bitter that this wasn’t included on his debut album. It would have been an awesome single!

Interrupting my Glee commentary with this tidbit…

As per Nigel, someone is singing “Imagine” on Idol tomorrow.

a.k.a my favourite song by my favourite songwriter of all time!

I hope Jessica, Joshua, or Phillip does the song justice. It was such a special moment when David Archuleta covered it in Season 7.

The other two songs are “Beggin’” and “I’ll Be There”.
